    Ouse & Oven

Bakery and coffee shop website · Bedford

A homepage for a bakehouse and coffee shop in Bedford. It leads with what a regular checks first: what's out of the oven today, the opening hours, and how to order a cake for collection.

    • An "Out of the oven today" timetable with bake times
    • A Saturday bread school card
    • Menu, opening hours and an illustrated map
    • An "Order for collection" button in the header
    • A flat illustrated hero: sourdough, cardamom knots and coffee in an arch

    Redway Heating & Plumbing

Heating engineer website · Milton Keynes

A homepage for a heating and plumbing firm in Milton Keynes. The quote form sits in the hero, so someone with a cold house can ask for a price without scrolling, and the emergency number is at the top of the page.

    • A three-step fixed-price quote form in the hero
    • An emergency phone bar
    • Services with starting prices
    • A four-step process, from quote to finished job

    • A short price menu in three columns
    • A section on how the studio works
    • Opening hours, late nights and contact details
    • Botanical linden-leaf artwork in two arches

    Jas Music

Web dashboard and Discord music bot · 2022–2024

I built the Jas Music web dashboard and the bot behind it, and kept the service running from 2022 to 2024. It was a focused music bot, used in Discord servers with 5M+ members combined. I shut it down in 2024 to start something new.

Screenshots: a concept redesign of the Jas Music site and dashboard.

    CrewByte

Workforce management platform · Design & build · PHP / MySQL

A rota and labour-cost platform for shift-based businesses. The rota shows what the week will cost before you publish it, and auto-schedule drafts one from your rules.

Prototype running on test data. No customers yet.

Where it's going: the day-to-day records come next: checklists, temperature logs, cleaning schedules, training records and handovers. The aim is for a manager to see what's happening across every site today, rather than finding out at the end of the week.

    Chainproof

Workforce compliance for UK security contractors

Security firms that hire through layers of subcontractors have to be able to show that everyone on site is cleared to work. The proof sits in scattered emails, spreadsheets and filing cabinets.

    • Map the chain
    • Attach evidence to each link
    • Flag the gaps
    • Export the audit pack
    Open ticket : Chainproof

    How it works

    1. Map the chain. Record who supplies whom: client, contractor, subcontractor, worker.
    2. Attach evidence to each link. Written statements and consent to subcontract between firms. For each worker, a right-to-work check reference, SIA licence and training certificates with expiry dates.
    3. Flag the gaps. Missing documents and upcoming expiries are highlighted before anyone is sent to a shift.
    4. A named person approves. The software never decides who can work. A person signs off each worker and each substitute.
    5. Export the audit pack. The evidence for the whole chain comes out in one go, ready for a client or an inspector.
The evidence chain: client to contractor (written statement), contractor to subcontractor (consent to subcontract, substitute pre-approval), subcontractor to worker (right-to-work check, SIA licence, training certificates). Gaps are flagged, a named person approves, and the output is an audit pack.
The evidence chain, link by link

Guardrails: a person approves every worker, with no automatic yes or no. No biometrics, no automated reading of ID documents, and records are deleted when the retention period ends.

It's its own product. I didn't want another add-on bolted to payroll. It was scoped as a concept and never released.
